The people of St Mark's come from the local rural community, joined at times by folk from sister churches in the wider community around Lincoln and from further afield. They see themselves as an ‘extended family’. They welcome visitors such as overseas ‘Woofers’ who visit the area to work on local farms and lifestyle blocks and others from elsewhere in New Zealand or overseas. We are mostly rural people living in a farming community, where often animals have to be attended to before we head to church on Sundays. We come from a variety of worship and denominational backgrounds but share a commitment to living and growing our Christian faith. Our age range at present is from 5 to 85. We share several outreach services each year with the wider community, including a St Francis Animal Blessing service, a Harvest Festival celebration and a Remembrance service before Christmas for those who have lost loved ones. Once a month we enjoy a shared lunch and time for fellowship. We both participate in, and benefit from, the activities and leadership of the Lincoln Parish.
